Summer Academy

Welcome to the 2022 Summer Academy Program!

This summer, we are offering many new courses designed to be engaging, interactive and fun. Our program will follow the same health and safety guidelines that have been in place throughout the course of the school year (we will continue to have masks readily available for any student who requests one, we will have hand sanitizer stations in each classroom and classes will be capped at 20 students per class etc.) ensuring we are keeping our students and our staff safe. It is important to note that our new student management system doesn’t have a “cap” on the class sizes so we will check the enrollment in each course daily. In the event more than (20) students enroll in a course, we may ask you to make another selection. We would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

This year, we are using Infinite Campus as our new Summer Academy student management system, we are no longer using the Family ID management system. Anyone who is interested in attending the Summer Academy Program will need to register online using your family’s Infinite Campus account. Please refer to the District website for a quick tutorial on how to sign up for your course selections. If you experience difficulties with any step of the online registration process, please reach out to the Help Desk at:

Although all families will need to register online, the following link; Summer Academy Course Descriptions will provide you with the course handbook allowing you to preview brief descriptions of the courses that are available this summer. It is important to remember that you will need to register your child for courses based on their current grade level.

The Glen Hills Summer Academy Program will take place between June 27-July 28, 2022. This (5) week program will occur Monday-Thursday with students being able to participate in (4) classes a day between the hours of 8:30AM.-12:00PM. The program will be closed on Monday, July 4th, allowing families to enjoy their extended holiday weekend.

The program has continued to grow in popularity, with kindergarteners through seventh graders taking advantage of a wide variety of courses. The classes place an emphasis on the core content academic areas as well as feature fine arts, foreign language, and outdoor sporting activities among a variety of other specialty offerings.

This will be a fun-filled summer, we hope your child(ren) can join us during the 2022 Summer Academy program.

*Please note, the Summer Academy registration will close on Friday, May 27th.

Thanks, Dr. Smith

There are some important updates that I would like to highlight, making families aware of the structure of this year’s Summer Academy program:
  1. Great News! This year’s Summer Academy program is FREE for ALL families.
  2. Breakfast and lunch will not be provided for students.
  3. Students will not have access to bus transportation to and from Summer Academy
  4. The Nicolet Recreation Department will provide after school care at Glen Hills from 12:00pm. to 5:00pm.
