On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire School District, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your support of the Spring 2026 Referendum. Your decision to invest in our schools is a powerful testament to the value this community places on our children and our future.

We recognize that your support comes with a profound responsibility. We understand our obligation to use your tax dollars wisely, and we are dedicated to the highest levels of accountability and transparency, seeking cost savings where it is appropriate.

As we plan toward the district’s future, we recognize that our work is ongoing and we are committed to the following:

  • Operational Efficiency: We will continually streamline processes and maximize every dollar to ensure it directly benefits the classroom.
  • Collaborative Planning: We will work in close partnership with the community to ensure our long-term facilities planning accounts for both current and projected enrollment trends.
  • Asset Management: We will ensure that District land and buildings meet the needs of 21st-century learning.

While fiscal responsibility is our foundation, the joy of our work lies in the growth of our students. We are driven by an unwavering commitment to the Key Performance Indicators of our Strategic Plan, ensuring we remain focused on

  • Raising Student Achievement: Challenging every student to reach their full academic potential.
  • Closing Opportunity Gaps: Ensuring that every learner, regardless of background, has the resources they need to thrive.
  • Whole Child Growth and Development: Creating environments where students grow not just as learners, but as self-advocates and leaders equipped with the social-emotional skills needed to succeed in life beyond our halls.

Thank you for your continued partnership. We are excited about the work ahead and honored to serve this community. We look forward to sharing our progress with you as we continue to build a brighter future for every student in our district.

With sincere appreciation,

Carla Pennington-Cross, School Board President

Anna Young, Superintendent
