About the Board
The Glendale River Hills School Board represents local, lay control in the governance of public education for students from kindergarten to eighth grade. the Board is comprised of five citizens, elected by school district voters on a non-partisan ballot to serve overlapping three-year terms. The Board is expected to establish educational policy for the district, approve programs of operation, determine district spending, and evaluate the results. The Board appoints a district Administrator, to serve as the chief executive officer, to whom it delegates the authority and responsibility to execute Board policies.
The regular school board meets on the third Wednesday of the month at Glen Hills Middle School in the library at 6:30pm. Committee of the Whole takes place on the first Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm. Public notice of regular, special and Committee meetings is posted in each school, at Glendale City Hall, River Hills Village Hall, North Shore Library, and other public sites at least 24 hours before the meeting.

Election information will be updated throughout the election cycle.
Three seats will be open for the School Board election on April 2, 2024. The two highest vote getters will serve three-year terms, lowest vote getter will serve a one-year term beginning April 22, 2024. NOTICE OF ANY INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE FILED A NOTIFICATION OF NONCANDIDACY
